Sarah McAdams Corbett is senior executive director of the Office of Marketing and Communications at UMass Lowell and co-chair of the university’s Women’s Leadership Conference. She is the recipient of a Commonwealth of Massachusetts Outstanding Performance Award and a former journalist whose writing and editing career has ranged from covering the plight of women in Afghanistan for the Chicago Tribune to reporting on celebrities’ favorite lipstick for Elle magazine.
A Lowell native, Sarah spent many years in Chicago and Los Angeles before returning home, and is proud to now lead what she calls “the best team at the university.” She is also the longtime editor of UMass Lowell’s award-winning alumni magazine and has held key content and strategy roles across higher education, media and marketing.
When she’s not working, you’ll find her going to concerts, skiing, golfing(ish) or trying not to injure herself in hip-hop class. She lives in Acton with her husband, two sons and their extremely disobedient dog, Bo.
