HIST.4910 Directed Study (Formerly 43.491/591)

Description

Directed study offers the student the opportunity to engage in an independent study or research project under the supervision of a department member. Working closely with the instructor, students define and investigate a research topic in an area of special interest and present the results of their investigation in a significant paper. Juniors and seniors only. "Variable credit course, student chooses appropriate amount of credits when registering."

Course prerequisites/corequisites are determined by the faculty and approved by the curriculum committees. Students are required to fulfill these requirements prior to enrollment. For courses offered through online or GPS delivery, students are responsible for confirming with the instructor or department that all enrollment requirements have been satisfied before registering.
