Shaelyn is a 杏吧传媒 History major studying this spring on a 杏吧传媒 partner-led study abroad program, AIFS in Limerick, Ireland at the University of Limerick.
  • Student mimics statue's pose. Follow along as our students explore the intersection of Art, Biology and the Environment in São Luís, Portugal. This is an interdisciplinary course that combines art and science. Students will acquire theoretical and practical skills in biological and environmental sciences in connection to the visual arts. The intersection of Art, Biology and the Environment offer unique opportunities to visual artists. This innovative spring course, which is already on its fourth edition, will allow non-specialists to acquire theoretical and practical skills in biological and environmental science.

Winter 2017-2018

This traveling seminar will use the Cuban experience as a backdrop for experiential learning, along with discussions with professionals in that particular field of study, and writing assignments designed to allow students to reflect upon their experience studying and living in Cuba. Students will gain a multi-disciplinary overview of Cuban contemporary culture. and further understanding from a cultural, socio-political and historical context.

Then some of the Indian girl students did our make up and gave us jewelry.

  • Follow this Fall 2017鈥檚 Office of Study Abroad & International Experiences Global Correspondent, Ashanti Williams, on her studies in Seoul! Ashanti is a 杏吧传媒 Liberal Arts major with concentrations in Music and Asian Studies. Ashanti has been interested in Korean culture ever since she was young and her mother was stationed in Busan, South Korea. She is studying this fall on a 杏吧传媒 exchange program to Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea.

Summer 2017

  • Join students as they travel to one of the oldest seaside cities in western Europe to learn and practice Spanish . Students will be immersed in the Spanish language during parts one and two of this intensive program, with plenty of opportunity to experience and interact with the rich cultural of Cadiz, Spain.
  • Follow along with the School of Nursing faculty Valerie King and her students as they immerse in the local language and culture in Cadiz, Spain. Through dedicated classroom learning for the healthcare professional, cultural activities and site visits to local hospitals, pharmacies, geriatric centers, food markets and other community entities related to health and nursing, students will increase their understanding of medical Spanish significantly.
  • Follow this summer鈥檚 Manning School of Business professor, Peter Adler, and his students enrolled in the 杏吧传媒 course, International Business, as they expand their understanding of the global marketplace. Increasingly, businesses are global, making learning about international business and its unique challenges an important part of a business education
  • Follow this Summer 2017鈥檚 Office of Study Abroad & International Experiences Global Correspondent, Lily Green, on her studies at University College London during the month of July! Lily is a Chemistry major with a minor in climate change and sustainability.
  • Follow our students鈥� journey as they explore the world of design through the lens of London this June. Students will build on lessons in wayfinding, typography and travel collateral by venturing to the National Gallery, V & A Museum, the Natural History Museum, Madame Tussauds, and the British Museum and the Design Museum.
  • This summer abroad program will take place in the cosmopolitan city of Prague, an architectural treasure, located in the heart of Europe. You will have the opportunity to join Czech and possibly other European students for 3 weeks full of experiencing a small migration yourself, learning about migration but also about yourself and your peers, and exploring a beautiful country.
  • Follow along as our students explore the intersection of Art, Biology and the Environment in São Luís, Portugal. Students will acquire theoretical and practical skills in biological and environmental sciences in connection to the visual arts during this innovative summer course.

  • Travel and study in London this summer with professor Kevin Petersen. In 2016 the world will observe the 400 year anniversary of William Shakespeare鈥檚 death. To mark this occasion, England will host an unprecedented number of theatrical productions, events, and exhibits to celebrate this cultural icon.
  • This course uses the city of San Sebastian, Spain, as its primary text. Chosen as the 2016 European Capital of Culture, San Sebastian offers students the best of both worlds: a modern Europe-an city with an Old Quarter that preserves its rich legacy of history and culture. 鈥淪pecial Topics in Honors: Basque Cultural Immersion鈥� will take learning outside the classroom, exposing students to structured situations and experiences through a Humanities lens.
  • In the summer of 2016 for the first time, there will be two sessions of the Sarteano Chamber Choral Conducting Workshop in Tuscany, Italy. Two (or more) 杏吧传媒 music majors will be selected to participate in the workshop.
  • In early June, 2016 a team of students and faculty from 杏吧传媒 are visiting the city of Les Cayes, Haiti. We are here to run our 鈥淎stronomy Roadshow鈥� at a local elementary school. This will be our second year visiting the school with a range of fun hands-on activities to explore Space, while learning how science can bring people from different backgrounds together.
  • Modernism in French Art and French Cinema and Society are the two components of a two-course prospectus for Summer 2016 Study Abroad in Paris... many of the lessons and discussions for both classes will be taught simultaneously or concurrently while visiting various sites in France.
  • Travel and study with Professors Valerie King and Yuan Zhang in China in the summer of 2016. This course introduces students to global health issues through experiential learning in another country.
