Book Recycling and Donation Bin

As part of UMass Lowell's efforts to divert waste from landfills, our campus hosts a Book Recycling and Donation Bin, conveniently located adjacent to the and the Textile Donation Bin. Each year, over 640,000 tons of books end up in landfills in the United States. Whether you're clearing out old textbooks, novels, or other books, your donation helps support community sustainability efforts and keeps reusable materials out of landfills. Your donation is a part of a larger effort to reduce waste and the amount of pollution produced from landfills. By donating unwanted books, you're reducing waste and giving them a second life.

Every book you donate contributes to a more sustainable future by promoting reuse and environmental responsibility. Combined with out Textile Donation Bins the Book Bin is part of a larger effort to make our campus and our community a greener place.
