All provided in a safe, supportive, inclusive and affirming environment.

  • Unlimited weekly group counseling typically including groups for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer+ (LGBTQ+), Women, Men, Graduate Students
  • Time-limited individual and couples therapy – initial appointments available within 2 business days
  • Short-term psychiatric medication management
  • Assessment and referral to campus or community resources and specialized care
  • Counselor available 24/7 for immediate support if experiencing a mental health crisis
  • Virtual peer community online to connect to and receive support from college students around the world

Empowering Students, Together

We are here for you every step of the way, from managing depression and anxiety to counseling support and crisis services, UMass Lowell has resources to help.

Direct Services:

  • Campus Advocates for Prevention Education (CAPE): a group of students who provide their peers with education and awareness around mental health and the prevention of sexual violence and substance misuse. Through outreach and advocacy, CAPE works to support a safe and healthy UMass Lowell community.
  • Advocacy, education, and event coordination to reduce stigma and promote mental health.
  • Resources and events for sexual violence survivors, substance misuse, and mental health.

Accessible Care When You Need It Most

A free alternative to urgent care with a wide range of medical services.

Direct Services:

  • Free Services: Appointments or telehealth
  • Contraceptive management (condoms and birth control)
  • Common immunizations, blood sugar testing, ankle wraps, and more.
  • Additional Services: Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) / Mononucleosis (Mono) testing (some fees may apply).
