Resident Advisors foster community, create connections, and help residents learn, change, and grow.

“Make your mark as a River Hawk and lead where you live.â€Â Â

Residence Life is committed to hiring a diverse staff reflective of people from different backgrounds and experiences. Resident Advisors (RAs) are student leaders who live in the residence halls and help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging community for their peers. We are looking for candidates who care about people and want to make a positive impact on the campus community.

How to Apply

The 2026-2027 Resident Advisor (RA) application opens Monday, November 10, 2025, and closes at 5 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025. Candidates must complete their application by the deadline and attend one full information session for their candidacy to move forward in the selection process.

While it is recommended that you complete this application in one sitting, you may return to your unsubmitted application within one week of starting it to finish. After one week, all incomplete applications will be automatically deleted. No changes can be made once your application is submitted, so please take your time when completing the required information and questions.

RA applications are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025. Even if you begin or are working on the application before the deadline, the form will close at that time. No applications will be accepted after the deadline, even if they are in progress.

Information Sessions

Information sessions were held in person or virtually over Teams for candidates to learn more about the RA position and the application process. All candidates must have attended one full session to remain eligible. Attendance will be taken at all information sessions.
