Parking Permit Information
When receiving your UCard, you should also apply for a parking permit. Please bring your vehicle registration with you to the UCard, Access and Parking Services (UCAPS) Office. You may also request a link to purchase parking by emailing UCAPS@uml.edu. In your email, please include the number of hours you expect to be on campus per week on average. We will email you a secure payment link for our vendor / visitor parking permit. Vendors and contractors with a Vendor / Visitor decal may park in any lot designated for Faculty/Staff. Parking is not permitted in residential lots, metered visitor spaces, or any other restricted areas not designated for Faculty/Staff parking. Once purchased, you will have access to all eligible parking lots linked to your UCard. Your physical hang tag will be mailed to you, but you may park immediately after purchase as long as you are in one of our approved lots. Our enforcement team uses license plate recognition and will verify your permit based on your vehicle registration. Please note: Gate access is a manual process and may take up to 24 business hours to be added to your UCard. If you arrive on campus immediately after purchasing your permit and do not yet have card access, you may use the call box at the gate. Inform the operator that you have just purchased a permit and do not yet have access on your ID and they will grant temporary entry.Ìý
